Born in Cali, Colombia, Dr. Pedro Franco earned his DDS and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá — one of Latin America's most prestigious medical institutions.
He deepened his training at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago and completed a 15-month postgraduate fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, specializing in TMJ reconstructive surgery under Dr. Larry Wolford — a world reference in the discipline.
In 2000, Dr. Franco joined the faculty at Baylor College of Dentistry, Texas A&M University System as a full-time professor. He has served as President of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS) — the highest office in the specialty in the United States.
